Yes, each movie now is a product that has to sell in competition with so many alternate products available that unless it is marketed properly, it will flop. You see the same happening in the area of books too!

Pleased! I came to know all about movie advertisement and marketing. Both online and offline marketing are essential. No one is substitute of other. The article has good content about a new movie to be successful.

They say that 100th luck is a charm :)

I just want to see if these comments can pass through, if not, then I don't know what I'm doing wrong...

I like your blog, where do you find all this information?

The movie industry is something else! Don't forget the marketing & branding for other products the movies themselves do either, like the prominently displayed soft drinks and snacks consumed by actors, vehicles driven by them, electronic goodies used by them, etc....

Marketing of movies these days is an incredibly complex and multifarious process. And then there is the merchandising of movie related products; that is a whole other business.

Youtube could be an alternative of movie marketing
  • Dining Room Table · 1 year ago
Yes, Nicole has brought in another dimension to the marketing of movies. The spin offs apart from just gate collection is in franchising the entire range of merchandise like T shirts etc.

I think the movie industry is a great example of successful marketing. Every time a new movie comes out, they always create hype around it and release trailers and teasers.

All the info on your website was great, I like the nice clean layout of posts.

Jage mentioned YouTube here. I think it's a great way for a company to test the effects of their new trailer and then spread it via other media. Today, if you are not offering a staggering movie, it's like you do not offer anything at all.

First I want to say sorry to not publish any posts for a while. I have been busy with my daily job and trying to drive to home with the huge stack of snow and road traffic is not making my life more simple. I am planning to write more posts this weekend. :P

@Justin Wright,I agree with you about movie industry. It is really very very successful marketing. But the thing that I always laugh is that this movies have marketing 10 or 15 time better then this movies are really. And 90% of this movies are not worth of watching and they have commercials like Terminator II.
